Michael Defuster is co-director of the cultural foundation Herengracht 401. Under his leadership, the former publishing house Castrum Peregrini transformed into a cultural centre focused on freedom, culture, and friendship. He redeveloped its real estate and improved access to its cultural heritage.
Frans Damman studied Business Administration at the University of Groningen and Publishing in Amsterdam. He worked for many years, e.g. at Reed Elsevier and VNU Business Publications
Anja Zuckmantel is the Executive Director for the not-for-profit organization operating Etz Hayyim Synagogue in Hania, Crete. She is a historian and educator with a particular interest in European Jewish heritage and coordinated Etz Hayyim Synagogue’s participation in the Heritage Contact Zone project (2018-2020).
Adì Levant (she/her) is a musician, singer, and arts professional working at the intersection of creativity, music, and cultural heritage. She currently works with Etz Hayyim Synagogue in Chania, Crete, where she leads fundraising, communications, and grant writing efforts
Passionate about culture, heritage, and social transformation, Lucas Dedyn is a specialist in designing and managing impactful cultural projects. Originally from Patagonia, Argentina, his work focuses on fostering meaningful connections and using cultural practices as a driving force for change.
Kerem is the Events & Production Officer at Culture Action Europe. He is responsible for event production and delivery, connecting CAE’s network for cultural impact. Alongside events, Kerem also contributes to project project management and helps develop financial tools that support CAE’s operational efficiency. Kerem is also part of the CAE Green Team.
Lars has the overall responsibility for Culture Action Europe. He leads the organisation together with the General Director and develops CAE´s strategy in conversation with the board and the team. With a focus on advocacy, he engages in an ongoing dialogue with sector representatives and policy makers across the EU
