Anna Nempavlaki is the Special Associate of Hania Mayor for Educational Affairs, and Manager for (the creation of) Educational Material at the Municipal Art Gallery.

During our visit, she presented the concept of the educational material.
Concerning the exhibition “Paths in Art” (24/5 – 2/11/2025) which featured 99 important artworks owned by the Bank of Greece (curation by Haris Kanellopoulou), Nempavlaki presented her highly innovative educational material titled: “Alone – in Pairs. Speaking about Values through Art”, created by herself in cooperation with a local artist.

In her presentation, Nempavlaki highlighted the need for discussion with and among the visitors in relation to artworks and exhibitions, as well as the need for encouraging the visitors to experience art themselves by actively engaging in the creative process.

It is important to mention that this educational material was designed to be used in workshops for students (preschool to grade 12), for educators and for parents at the gallery during the time of the exhibition, as well as for educational purposes after the end of the exhibition in combination with the exhibition catalogue.
