Maria Kyvernitaki

Facilitator

Maria Kyvernitaki is a graduate of the Panhellenic School of Tourist Guides, with many years of professional experience. She guided participants through the permanent exhibition at the Archaeological Museum of Chania, presenting the early history of human life and presence on Greece’s largest island.

Born and raised on Crete, Maria has always been curious about the mysterious stories hidden in archaeological findings from her native island, as well as her grandmother’s narrations about her village. By the age of 12, she knew she wanted to become a professional tourist guide, and she has now been working in the field for over two decades.
