Brikena Xhomaqi has served as Director of the Lifelong Learning Platform – European Civil Society for Education (LLLP) since 2016. The platform brings together more than 40 European civil society networks working across the entire education and lifelong learning spectrum-from early childhood to adult education-representing both learners and providers in formal, non-formal, and informal education. From 2020 to 2025, she served as Co-Chair of the European Economic and Social Committee’s Liaison Group with European Civil Society Organisations, and between 2017 and 2019, she was a member of the Civil Society Europe Steering Committee. Prior to her current role, she was Head of Office of the European Students’ Union (ESU) and Director of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). She also worked in the private sector as Head of Relations and Research at The Class Foundation and the startup Uniplaces, contributing to initiatives addressing the student housing crisis.
